We are oh-so-happy to announce our next endeavor:
New Works for the New Year: A Lovewell Songbook Collection
WHEN: Friday, January 8th, 2010 at 7p.m.
WHERE:
The Performance Theatre on Nova Southeastern University’s Main Campus
3301 College Avenue
Davie, Florida 33314
WHAT: NSU and Lovewell artists (students, staff, alumni, board members) will come together to perform a night of original works from the vast collection of the Lovewell archives of scores. There will be solo numbers as well as large, fully choreographed show stoppers! The whole night will take place to benefit our new project: The Lovewell Songbook. In early 2010, we will be compiling some of the hits from Lovewell shows over the years and binding them into a songbook collection, enabling people around the world to perform Lovewell songs. These numbers should not be forgotten and we are going to be sure they are not! There will be a reception immediately following the performance for all in attendance.
HOW YOU FIT IN: Of course, you are cordially invited to come out to the event, but also, if you are a Lovewell Alumni of any sort, you are also invited to perform with us that evening. There will be a detailed rehearsal schedule (that will be limited to Jan 5th-Jan 8th) to follow when we confirm your participation. Also, we will be accepting donations to raise funds to get the Songbook in print. There will be more info about that to follow.
TICKETS: Tickets are now available. Click below to purchase your tickets today. Please note that there are only 240 seats in the house, so reserve your tickets early.
