The Rats of Hamelin: An Untold Musical

Synopsis: In the small town of Hamelin, sister city to the German original, the famous legend of The Pied Piper is annually celebrated. At this year’s dress rehearsal, a group of teens disturb the show with a prank and as punishment are assigned community service at the Hamelin County Historical Society. The teens are sick and tired of the town, their parents and a life dictated by an old story. Their task for the day is to sort old files, but they are soon drawn into unknown information that changes the way they see the story. Through the eyes of the present-day teens and a group of children in the time of the actual piper, we explore themes of change, growth and what we are willing to do for a better life.
